RJ’s outfits

Posted: January 3, 2011 in pets, RJ the Terroriser!

The Fancy Dress Contest is in 2 weeks time and we have yet to get anything for RJ yet! We used to buy clothes for him from Diaso as well as an online store called ‘Pets Attic’. However, this 2 places do not have any new stocks coming in, thus we had to look for other places to buy clothings for RJ.

We chanced upon a website by the name of ‘Pets Momo’ and they offers a wide variety of pets apparels, ranging from Disney characters to Festive costumes! Check out their webby at http://www.petsmomo.com/home.html.

As RJ’s size is rather big and long, he could not fit in to many clothes. We tried for him the bunny suit, the Nurse suit (LOL), the superman shirt and we finally decided to get for him the Batman shirt. Now, we have to crack our heads to think of what headgear to make for him.

PLC Fancy Dress Contest

Posted: December 30, 2010 in pets, RJ the Terroriser!

RJ will be taking part in this!

Ok, I emailed a few of RJ’s pictures to PLC, with little hope that he will get into the finals as he either wore t-shirts or a jumper suit in his pictures. But surprise, surprise! I received an email from PLC telling me that RJ has been selected for the finals and we are to bring him to Parkway Parade on the 16 January 2011 at 2pm.

When I saw the email, I was jumping with joy! I didn’t expect them to select my naughty little jack russell for the finals! Now, I am having a headache on what to dress him up for the contest. A hotdog? A peanut? A durian? A watermelon? I really don’t know! I am cracking my head hard now!

I really cannot imagine RJ doing a dogwalk on stage… I am feeling so stress now!!!

It is the holidays again and there wasn’t much planning done. Thus this Genting trip was a very last minute one. I just needed a break from everything!
Well, we took the Five Star bus, it didn’t look as fantastic as the ones we saw while we booked the trip. But who cares? It’s just a transport. The bus driver was rather fast, and we reached there at around 1pm. But the queue to check into the hotel was already super long… 7063, means there are 62 people in front of our queue.

After waiting for don’t know how many Hours, we managed to check in. Thank God this time we are in Tower 1, which is nearer and newer.

(I don’t wanna mention about what happened to us the previous time we stayed in Genting First World Hotel Tower 2… :( )

Day 2 began with the hunt for Old Town White Coffee Cafe, which we FINALLY managed to find! The food they served were tasty and the prices were reasonable! Love the Rendang Chicken!

soooo cooold!

Old Town found!

As we were walking around in Genting, I spotted many people with interesting ‘headgears’. They were of various animals. It looked so cute that I was determined to get it. Finally, we saw the souvenir shop inside the theme park selling it! I was so excited! But, I am not a fan of theme parks and I do not wish to take any of the rides as the rides were classified as too high risk for me! I doubt my heart can take the excitement of the rides!

Thank god we met a super friendly Singaporean family who helped us to buy the cute Husky and Penguin headgears as they were buying tickets to go into the theme park. However, we realised that the other entrance of the theme park has got a stall that was selling some headgears, so we happily got another Lion headgear!

After that, we started walking all over the various hotels and eating all kinds of food there. Seriously, having a meal in Genting is not cheap at all. Everything cost RM4 and above and all the meals would cost you at least RM40 and above for 2 pax.

The nicest and tastiest meal we had was at this chinese restaurant called ‘Good Friends Express’. Love the Wanton Mee! Uber tasty! Looking at the picture now makes me hungry!

Anyway, it was a nice getaway at Genting. Away from all worries and work. I ate and slept like nobody’s business! I am really looking forward to the next trip! :)

Fake!

Posted: December 8, 2010 in my 2cents worth of thoughts

Came across this meaningful quote which I felt that it really made sense…

“Too many people try to fake their way through life,
That’s why the real ones shine through so brightly.”

Life is already tiring enough, why do we still need to fake it? We have to see people that we do not like and pretend to be on friendly terms with them. We have to attend occasions and functions that we do not wish to, and pretend to be happy there. We have to pretend to smile, even if we do not wish to. We have to pretend that nothing has happened before, but deep down we know that life is never fair.

Perhaps, it’s time not to be fake and pretend anymore. I want to be the one that shines…

我要忍

My temper hasn’t been good for as long as I can remember. And I do not know what has caused it. According to reliable sources, our fortune in astrology (运程) changes drastically if we were to throw our temper for any reason. Thus, it would be better if we can endure things. I am trying really hard to keep cool at all times at any occasions nowadays. :)

Honeymoon Dessert

Posted: November 29, 2010 in Food Glorious Food!

their menu...

Passed by this nice looking shop a few times at Bugis Junction but I didn’t have a chance to try the dessert there. The displays outside the shop looked so awesome that no dessert lovers can resist!
So, I finally found a chance to go into the shop and try the dessert. There were plenty of desserts to choose from, some were their so-called ‘招牌菜’. One of it was the durian pancake. It looked super nice! In the end, Rudy and I ordered the durian pancake, glutinous rice balls with sesame paste as well as my favourite 杨枝甘露.
We were waiting patiently for our dessert to be served when all of a sudden, a man came towards us and told us ‘$13.50′ in a LOUD voice. Ok, so we must pay before food is served, fine, but there is no need for you to use your LOUD voice right? It feels like as though the shop is selling restaurant dessert in a kopitiam style!
Finally, our long waited durian pancake arrived. One word to describe, Disappointed! There is only 1 pancake instead of the 3 show in the menu. So, we cut it up and saw that three quarter of the pancake was filled with cream instead of durian filling! It didn’t taste nice at all! Sad. The mango sago pomelo didn’t taste fantastic as well, it was super coconutty! Yikes I don’t really fancy coconut. The glutinous rice ball in sesame paste tasted normal. On the whole, the experience was a bad and disappointing one. Don’t think I’ll be patronizing them again.
Anyway the only good thing about the shop is that there wasn’t any service charge in the bill, probably because there isn’t any service at all? :p

Detective Dee

Posted: October 19, 2010 in Moovees

Watched the long anticipated movie, Detective Dee and I was quite disappointed with the entire show. The trailer of the show was very fantastic and I heard so many positive comments about the show. However, halfway through the show, I felt sleepy as I realised that the show was kind of draggy. It went on and on, with all the minor not important events.

Nonetheless, the graphics were good, especially when the few characters in the show were ‘burnt’ under the sunlight. Overall, Detective Dee has got a good plot. It gave me the feel that it was a ghost story initially, when the characters caught fire on their own.

Cute Little Seal

Caught this fluffy looking seal that makes a weird sound when pressed for $3 @ Iluma! Had been eyeing at it for quite some time!

Went to Iluma for a second time and caught 2 more! They are named as To-To, Ru-To and Jo-To! The fattest one is Ru-To! :p

Kim Gary Restaurant

Posted: September 13, 2010 in Food Glorious Food!, R & J

Rudy and I were hoping to have Sushi Teh for my dinner and so, we went to Vivocity. However, the queue for Sushi Teh was like super long, so we gave up the thought as we were already famished. Feeling frustrated, we started to look for an alternative place for dinner.

We walked past this restaurant with a catchy name called ‘Hong Kong Kim Gary Restaurant’ and saw that the queue wasn’t that long. We saw the ‘Super Value Hot Plate Set Meal’ advertisement and decided to give it a try. The staff in the restaurant were all super friendly, and we were served in no time!

Rudy ordered the Steak Hot Plate with Garlic sauce while I ordered the Flaming Combo with Black Pepper sauce. Both set meals included a drink along with a soup. And guess what, the food was fantastic, especially the steak! It tasted super sweet and juicy and the best part was, the taste of the steak with garlic sauce was heavenly! It was indeed a sumptuous feast and we left the restaurant feeling super satisfied! The price was reasonable as well. We will definitely patronize them again!

I went to their website and realised that they have many outlets! Places include Sungei Wang, The Curve in Kuala Lumpur, as well as Tampines 1 in Singapore! (Been to Sungei Wang and The Curve like don’t know how many times but I have not even noticed this restaurant before! What a waste!) Check out their webby at http://kimgary.my/cn/

What had happened?

Posted: September 13, 2010 in my 2cents worth of thoughts

I started working officially about 2 months ago and I was so busy with everything that I did not have time to even write on this space of mine! Feel so bad!

Seriously speaking, I do enjoy my job. And it is because I enjoy so much that I am so occupied with it! Most of my weekends are kinda burnt, but I do not really mind it. My time was spent for a good reason. However, I do hope to have more time on my own, as well as more quality time with all my love ones.
